During a tour of the new facility with national and local journalists, directors said the company’s Fabogesic ibuprofen would be the plant’s flagship product, which would spearhead its push to promote the softgel dosage form.
The new plant would only produce softgel for Savant’s own products, and that the intention was to increase production from the current output of 3 million units a month.

The leading softgel capsule manufacturer in Argentina is the multinational Catalent, which operates a plant in Loma Hermosa, Greater Buenos Aires, dedicated entirely to producing for other companies.

On El Tío industrial estate in Córdoba, Savant also produces solid, semi-solid and liquid dosage form, and has the potential to double output, Bono told journalists at a press conference.
As well as capital resources, the company has issued corporate bonds to fund its investments. The second in a series of 30 million Argentine pesos releases was issued in August as part of a debt issuance programme capped at 200 million Argentine pesos.
This year, the company had set aside u$s 2.5 million for general investment, including the launch of the new plant, Bono said.
