With an initial investment of $10 million, the firm will focus on the specialist adhesives sector, catering for different industries, including pharma and cosmetics.
The new company, Adhefull, will add Brazilian brand Adecol to the Argentine market, and boast a range of applications covering security tape for medical packaging, as well as adhesives used in diapers and other products. See website
The two executives, whose backgrounds combine experience in the adhesives sector and in pharma, aim to establish themselves in the market and win share from market leaders Henkel (Germany) and H.B. Fuller (North America), both of which have local plants. The three firms will be aiming to cater to different industries, such as furnishings, graphics and food, as well as personal care and pharma.
The pharma sector is currently worth $1 million a year in Argentina.
