El nacional laboratorio Raffo adquirió la manufactura local de los suizos de Sandoz, empresa perteneciente al grupo Novartis.
Por una inversión cercana a los u$s 10 millones se quedó con las dos plantas que Sandoz tiene sobre la calle Crámer en el barrio de Saavedra.

La de oncológicos es clave ya que elabora oncológicos liofilizados. Y en el último trimestre dos plantas de liofilizados pasaron a manos extranjeras.

En la actualidad la planta de onco de Sandoz exporta a Japón y a Europa y está liderada por Martín Serra.
El plan de Raffo es seguir manteniendo bajo su paraguas al equipo de manufactura conformado por 120 personas.
El objetivo es fabricar para sí, para terceros y para el propio Sandoz.
Raffo tiene además una planta en San Juan donde fabrica formas sólidas. Se ubica en el puesto nueve en el ranking de laboratorios según facturación alcanzando los u$s 168 millones anuales según las ventas al canal farmacia que audita IMS.
Esta operación consolida asimismo la tendencia de la multinacionales a desprenderse de sus plantas al tiempo que se registra una avanzada de los laboratorios de capitales nacionales.

The laboratory Raffo acquired Swiss plant

The Argentinean laboratory Raffo acquired the local manufacturing plant of the Swiss company Sandoz, owned by the Novartis group.
With an investment close to u$s10 million the company gained the two plants that Sandoz has on Crámer street, in Saavedra, Buenos Aires city.
In this complex remains the old solid medicines plant that belonged to Labinca and the more modern plant of oncologic medicines which was inaugurated in 2006.

The oncologic medicines plant is key because it manufactures lyophilized oncologic products. And in the last quarter of the year two lyophilized plants passed into foreign hands.
