El propietario de la chilena Farmacias Cruz Verde –uno de los tres principales retailers de farmacia de ese país- llegó a un acuerdo con la cadena farmacéutica colombiana Farmasanitas.
Según el diario La República de Colombia, la alianza consiste en la venta de un porcentaje no especificado de Farmasanitas a la empresa chilena Cruz Verde. Ver artículo.
Esta movida significa que ambas firmas desarrollarán de manera conjunta el negocio de suministro y distribución de medicamentos en Colombia, con lo que esperan se fortalezca la presencia de la marca en el mercado de retail farmacéutico.
Así Socofar, matriz de farmacias Cruz Verde sumará 134 puntos de venta ubicados en 24 departamentos de Colombia, los que facturan cerca de $s 300 millones anuales.
Los chilenos de Sofocar están desplegándose como pulpos por todo el continente.
El año pasado habían llegado a Costa Rica, adquiriendo el 50% de la acciones de la corporación CEFA. Ver operación.
Antes, en Chile habían cerrado la adquisición de la cadena de perfumería Maicao a la familia Abufom. Ver operación.
Este desembarco de Cruz Verde en Colombia se da en el contexto de un incesante movimiento del mercado farmacéutico regional impulsado por las cadenas chilenas.

Cruz verde in Colombia: Chileans do not stop

The owner of the Chilean Cruz Verde pharmacy, one of the three main pharmacy retailers in the country, reached an agreement with the Colombian pharmacy chain Farmasanitas.
According to the Colombian newspaper La República, with this alliance, an unspecified percentage of Farmasanitas business will be sold to the Chilean company. See article.
This means that the companies will develop together the supply business and medicine distribution in Colombia. With this, the company expects to strengthen the presence of the brand in the retail pharmacy market.
This way, Socofar, Cruz Verde´s pharmacy headquarters, will add 134 points of sale located in 24 Colombian regions, which will earn annually about $s 300million.
