Colorcon has a new regional CEO. Now at the helm in South America is Rafael Falco, who was previously the company’s sales manager for the southern cone.
The multinational Colorcon, specialised in colourings and coatings for medicines, has a new regional CEO.
Now at the helm in South America is Rafael Falco, who was previously the company’s sales manager for the southern cone.
At the same time, the company is investing in a new coatings plant in the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil. The company plans to export from the new plant to Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay. See press release.
The firm’s plant in Argentina which will work together with its South American distribution chain, will also be under Falco’s control, the firm having eliminated the position of country manager.
In January, Colorcon acquired North American firm Paulaur Corporation, which focuses on sugar coatings and nutraceuticals. See article
Colorcon competes with North American Ashland, and Germany’s Evonik, both of which have local branches. Another competitor is Japanese firm Shin Etsu, which is present locally via third parties.
